Hi Reader,

As promised, today we'll share the final part of our Tahiti series—your 10-day float plan through the Society Islands. If you missed earlier editions, you can still catch up on Tahiti Sailing Conditions or Comparing BVI to Tahiti.

But first, some exciting Yacht Warriors updates you won't want to miss:

⚓ The new Skipper's Portal is live!

We've built this sleek new Skipper's Portal in-house, and it's packed with features. It's been a fun project, and only just the start. Here's a taste of what's new:

  • Shareable Charter Summary: easily share your charter request details, and log in to give feedback directly in-app. Here's an example to check out.
  • Streamlined Payments: now offering in-app charter payments by card, direct bank transfer, or buy-now-pay-later (Affirm).
  • Custom To-Do Lists: You already love our pre-departure checklists to stay organized - now, you can add your own custom tasks!

Yacht Owners Program

Our platform now lets owners list their yachts directly to crews, saving you money by booking direct. Once you strike a deal, we handle the rest! First up, 'As You Wish', a feature-packed Lagoon 46 from the Horizon fleet in BVI.

10-Day Tahiti Float Plan

After much research, I believe a 10-day charter is the minimum you need to truly dive into the magic of Tahiti and the Society Islands. Anything less, and you'll feel like you're missing out on the hidden gems—especially Maupiti (if the weather cooperates, of course!). This float plan is all about savoring every moment without feeling rushed. Let’s get to it!

Day 1: Raiatea to Taha'a – Kicking Things Off

Start your adventure at Marina Apooiti in Raiatea. After the chart briefing, it’s anchors up and off to the east side of Taha'a. Drop anchor north of Motu Mahaea, and jump straight into the turquoise waters for some epic snorkeling near the barrier reef or Toahotu pass. Dinner aboard or hit up a local restaurant for your first taste of Tahitian cuisine.

Highlights:

  • Motu Mahaea: Calm waters, stunning beaches, and prime snorkeling—what more could you want for Day 1?

Day 2: Coral Gardens and Tahaa
Next up, head to Motu TauTau for the day. The coral gardens here are unreal—vibrant, colorful, and teeming with life. When you’re ready to wind down, drop anchor at Haamene Bay or Tapuamu Bay for the night.

Highlights:

  • Coral Gardens: Some of the best snorkeling you’ll find in all of Tahiti.
  • Haamene Bay: Serenity defined, nestled in one of the longest fjords of the Society Islands.

Day 3: Tahaa to Bora Bora – Here We Go!
It’s time to sail from Papai Pass to Bora Bora’s Teavanui Pass. Trust me, the view of Mount Otemanu will stop you in your tracks. Anchor at Motu Topua, then treat yourself to a laid-back evening at the famous Bloody Mary’s.

Highlights:

  • Motu Topua: Swim, snorkel, and soak in the epic views of Mount Otemanu.
  • Bloody Mary’s: One of those “you just have to go” spots—fun, relaxed, and great seafood.

Day 4: Bora Bora Lagoon Exploration – Dive In
Today’s all about exploring Bora Bora’s lagoon. Hit up the Lagoonarium for an interactive swim with turtles, rays, and sharks. Or just spend the day snorkeling and paddleboarding around the coral gardens. Either way, you win.

Highlights:

  • Lagoonarium: A marine lover’s dream—up close and personal with all kinds of sea life.
  • Coral Gardens: It’s like swimming in an aquarium. Enough said.

Day 5: Bora Bora to Maupiti – Off the Beaten Path
Weather permitting, we’re making the passage to Maupiti today. This less-visited island is pure magic. Anchor in the village, rent a bike, and explore. Don’t miss the hike to the top for those jaw-dropping views.

Highlights:

  • Maupiti: Unspoiled, tranquil, and the perfect escape from the crowds.
  • Top of Maupiti: The view from the top? Worth every step.

Day 6: Maupiti’s Hidden Charms
Spend the day soaking in Maupiti’s pristine beaches and snorkeling spots. The vibe here is all about peace and simplicity—take it slow and savor every minute.

Highlights:

  • Maupiti Beaches: Picture-perfect sands and crystal-clear waters, with way fewer crowds.
  • Village Visit: Get a taste of authentic Polynesian life.

Day 7: Back to Bora Bora
After a peaceful night in Maupiti, it’s time to sail back to Bora Bora. Anchor near the pass or grab a mooring at the Bora Bora Yacht Club—either way, it’s the perfect spot to relax.

Highlights:

  • Bora Bora Yacht Club: Kick back, relax, and take in the views after your sail.

Day 8: Bora Bora to Huahine – A Hidden Gem
Today, we’re off to Huahine. Aim to arrive by mid-afternoon, drop anchor in Fare Bay, and spend the evening exploring the chill village of Fare.

Highlights:

  • Fare Village: Laid-back, friendly, and full of charm.
  • Snorkeling: The waters around Huahine are crystal clear and teeming with marine life.

Day 9: Uncovering Huahine’s Secrets
Huahine has a lush, almost mystical feel to it. Spend your day exploring the island’s archaeological treasures and its lush, green landscapes. Maeva Village is a must-see for a deep dive into Polynesian history.

Highlights:

  • Maeva Village: Ancient temples, fish traps, and rich history at your fingertips.
  • Beach Day: Sun, sand, and endless snorkeling.

Day 10: Huahine to Raiatea – One Last Hurrah
On your final day, make your way back to Raiatea, but be sure to stop at Motu MiriMiri for some last-minute snorkeling and a stunning sunset to wrap up your adventure.

Highlights:

  • Motu MiriMiri: Snorkeling, swimming, and an unforgettable sunset.
  • Faaroa River: If you’ve got time, a detour for a kayak trip up this peaceful river is well worth it.

Then, it’s back to the base in Raiatea the next morning with memories for a lifetime.

This itinerary strikes the perfect balance between adventure and relaxation, giving you a chance to soak up all that Tahiti has to offer—whether you’re hiking, snorkeling, or just kicking back on the beach. It’s the perfect way to celebrate a milestone or just treat yourself to the ultimate island escape.

That's it for today!

Have a great week!
