⛵Inside MEDYS: The Yachts That Stood Out in Greece
Published about 2 hours ago • 4 min read
Hi Reader,
Emilia here! As many of you know, our team has been in Greece over the past few weeks attending two of the most important charter yacht shows in the East Mediterranean: MEDYS in Nafplion and EMMYS in Poros.
I wanted to start with a recap of MEDYS — the Mediterranean Yacht Show — and share a little bit of what the experience is actually like from a broker’s perspective.
What a Yacht Show Really Tells Us
MEDYS is not just about walking the docks and looking at beautiful yachts. It is where we get to step onboard, meet the captains and crews in person, see how each yacht is maintained, understand the real layout, taste the food, ask about itineraries, and get a much better sense of the onboard experience than we ever could from photos or brochures alone.
And honestly, that is the most valuable part.
Some yachts look amazing online but feel different in person. Others completely surprise you once you meet the crew or see how well the yacht is cared for. For us, being there helps us make more thoughtful recommendations — not just based on size, price, or availability, but based on which yacht actually fits the client.
This year at MEDYS, I paid special attention to the motor yachts, and these were three that stood out to me.
ZALIV III, Mondomarine 164 ft
1. ZALIV III
Best for: larger groups looking for a polished, high-service luxury experience
ZALIV III was one of the most impressive motor yachts I visited at the show. She is a 50-meter motor yacht that accommodates 12 guests and has 11 crew members, which gives her a very strong service ratio.
What stood out to me most was the combination of space, amenities, and privacy. She has a spa onboard, a beautiful master cabin with a private balcony, and strong water toy options including a Jet Ski and eFoil.
The master cabin is definitely one of her strongest features. The private balcony gives it a more exclusive, elevated feeling, which is exactly the kind of detail that can make a yacht feel special for the principal guests.
I would see ZALIV III working very well for larger families, multi-generational groups, or groups of friends who want a true luxury motor yacht experience in Greece. She feels polished, spacious, and very service-oriented.
One master cabin with a king size bed, his and hers bathroom, jacuzzi, shower, steam bath & walk in closet.
What I would highlight to clients:
12 guests
11 crew
Spa onboard
Master cabin with private balcony
Jet Ski and eFoil
Great fit for luxury groups who value service and privacy
O'Natalina, Picchiotti 183 ft
2. O’NATALINA
Best for: guests who appreciate classic elegance, space, and a yacht with character
O’NATALINA stood out in a very different way. She is a classic 56-meter Picchiotti motor yacht, originally built in 1995, with major recent updates including a 2025 refit/repaint.
What I liked about her is that she has personality. She does not feel like a generic modern yacht. She has more of a classic superyacht atmosphere, but with important updates that make her more relevant for today’s charter market.
Her layout is also very useful. She accommodates 12 guests in 7 staterooms, including 5 doubles and 2 convertible cabins. That gives her a lot of flexibility for families, couples, or mixed groups where cabin configuration matters.
Another strong point is the crew setup. With 12 crew members for 12 guests, she has the potential to offer a very attentive and personalized onboard experience.
I would position O’NATALINA for clients who are not necessarily looking for the newest yacht, but who appreciate charm, space, service, and a more timeless motor yacht feel.
O'Natalina Luxury Charter Group in Greece
What I would highlight to clients:
12 guests
12 crew
7 staterooms
5 double cabins and 2 convertible cabins
Major 2025 refit/repaint
Classic yacht feel with strong service potential
La Pellegrina 1, Couach 164 ft
3. LA PELLEGRINA 1
Best for: active luxury groups who want strong water toys, space, and a polished superyacht feel
LA PELLEGRINA 1 was another standout motor yacht from MEDYS, and she brings a really strong combination of luxury, performance, and fun.
She is a 50-meter Couach motor yacht available for charter in Greece, accommodating 12 guests with 11 crew. That already makes her a strong option for clients looking for a larger, high-service yacht, but what makes her especially interesting is how complete the onboard experience feels.
Her layout includes a master suite on the bridge deck with its own private terrace, plus a VIP suite on the main deck. Those two guest areas are especially useful when presenting her to groups where the principal guests want privacy, space, and a more elevated cabin experience.
She also has a very strong amenities list: deck jacuzzi, gym/exercise equipment, stabilizers underway and at anchor, Starlink, BBQ and beach setup, and an excellent water toy selection. For active guests, this is a major selling point — she carries Jet Skis, SeaBobs, sea scooters, SUPs, wakeboards, waterskis, inflatables, and fishing equipment.
I would position LA PELLEGRINA 1 for clients who want the comfort and service of a true motor yacht, but also want a fun, activity-driven charter. She feels like a great fit for families with older kids, groups of friends, or luxury clients who want both relaxation and a lot to do on the water.
The sundeck is an inviting area for sunbathing, equipped with comfortable sunbeds, and also features a spa jacuzzi for ultimate relaxation.
What I would highlight to clients:
50m Couach motor yacht
12 guests
11 crew
Master suite with private terrace
Main deck VIP suite
Deck jacuzzi and gym
Stabilizers underway and at anchor
Starlink
Strong water toy selection
Great fit for active luxury groups and families
Final Thoughts from MEDYS
For me, the biggest takeaway from MEDYS was how important it is to see these yachts in person.
A spec sheet can tell us the length, the year, the number of cabins, and the toy list — but it cannot tell us how the yacht feels, how the crew welcomes you onboard, whether the layout actually works, or which type of client will be happiest there.
That is what makes these shows so valuable for us.
Over the next few weeks, I’ll be organizing all of my notes, photos, and crew impressions so we can keep improving how we match each client with the right yacht.
And next up, I’ll be sharing my recap from EMMYS in Poros, where the focus shifts to some of the top crewed catamarans and multihulls available in Greece.

Hi Reader, There’s a moment that happens on every yacht charter down to the British Virgin Islands. Usually it’s sometime on day one. The lines are off, the catamaran settles in, and you look around and think—yeah… this is exactly why we come back. I’ve been making that trip for 15 years now. Same chain of islands, a lot of the same anchorages, plenty of familiar stops. But this Spring Break, something different happened. I went down with my family and brought five adults who had never...
