⛵ We are on our way to the Virgin Islands!

Hi Reader,

As of this morning, the Yacht Warriors team is en route to the Virgin Islands for one of our favorite times of the year—the fall Charter Yacht Shows in the USVI and BVI. Over the next week, we’ll be walking the docks, touring yachts, meeting crews, and getting a firsthand look at what’s new and noteworthy in the world of luxury and adventure charters.

Why the Charter Shows Matter

These shows are a cornerstone of the yachting season. They’re where we connect directly with the people behind the yachts—the captains, chefs, and crews who bring each charter to life.

What’s the goal? To experience each yacht the same way you would—up close, hands-on, and with a critical eye for detail. That way, when you ask about the best layout for a family trip, or which catamarans have the best outdoor spaces for sunset cocktails, we can give you answers based on firsthand experience, not just spec sheets.

If there’s a particular yacht you’ve been eyeing—maybe one you’ve seen on a listing, in a video, or during your research—now’s your chance to get an inside look. Just hit reply and let us know which one you’re curious about, and we’ll make sure to stop by, chat with the crew, and share our impressions with you.

Behind the Scenes

Beyond the yachts themselves, these shows are where we spot trends shaping the upcoming charter season. Whether you prefer a fully crewed, all-inclusive experience or the unique insights of a professional skipper for a captain-only charter, there’s something new for everyone.

For my bareboat, DIY skippers, we’ll also be catching up with our preferred BVI charter companies such as Horizon, Waypoints, TMM, and Navigare.

Expect plenty of updates, behind-the-scenes photos, and our personal take on the yachts and crews that stood out most. Keep up with the action on the Yacht Warriors' Instagram account, as well as Captain Matt and Emilia's personal accounts.

What’s Next

Once we’re back, we’ll share a full recap with photos, notes, and recommendations straight from the docks—so you can get a sense of what’s coming for the 2026 charter season and which yachts are truly worth adding to your shortlist.

If you want us to check out something specific while we’re there, just let us know!

Hi Reader, The countdown has begun — the end of hurricane season is near, and the Caribbean is calling. Crews are back aboard and the first early guests of the season are already popping Champagne on the aft deck. Whether this is your first time chartering or it's your annual island escape, here are five ways to make this season’s trip one for the books. Long Bay Virgin Gorda, and the Seal Dogs in the distance where a charter yacht recently grounded But first — a quick note you might have...

Hi Reader, Well, we did it. After 15 years of island hopping, late-night rum punches, and whisper-quiet anchorages, we finally pulled off something entirely new: our first kids charter. Two families. Four kids (ages 5, 8, 9, and 11). Six nights. One unforgettable Exumas adventure. We planned treasure hunts, chased nurse sharks through mangrove creeks, and watched the wonder of the islands light up through younger eyes. Here's our Top 5 moments from the week that reminded us what this...

Hi Reader, Alright friends, it’s time to get excited. Next week, I’m heading back to my all-time favorite cruising ground: the Exuma island chain in the Bahamas. But this trip has a twist! It’s our first-ever kids charter—and yeah, we’re bringing the little pirates along for the ride (2x families with kids ages 5, 8, 9, 11). We’re trading late-night rum punches for treasure hunts and mangrove safaris (okay, still some rum punches too). I cannot wait to build some core memories with the next...
