⛵My Top 3 Superyacht Picks from Croatia
Published about 6 hours ago • 3 min read
The red carpet rolled out along the docks at the CRO.Y.A. Charter Show in Split.
Hi Reader, Emi here!
I’m back from the CRO.Y.A. Charter Yacht Show in Split, and I wanted to share three of my favorite yachts from the trip. There’s more to come from our time in Croatia, but these felt like a good place to start.
What made them stand out? A combination of thoughtful layouts, inviting outdoor spaces, and the people who bring the experience together. From a Sunseeker for eight guests to a yacht that can welcome 30, each offers something different depending on who you’re traveling with.
First, a little Croatia inspiration
Part of Croatia’s appeal is how naturally a yacht vacation combines time at sea with time ashore. Along the Dalmatian Coast, swimming bays and island anchorages sit alongside historic harbors, waterfront restaurants, and towns you’ll want to spend an evening exploring. You can build a week around both, without having to choose between a beach vacation and a trip with a little more culture.
A one-way charter from Split to Dubrovnik is a popular way to experience that variety. Depending on your itinerary, you might stop in Brač, spend an evening in Hvar, explore Korčula’s old town, and enjoy Mljet before arriving in Dubrovnik. The yacht, your interests, and your preferred pace all help shape the route.
With that setting in mind, here are three yachts I’d put on your shortlist—starting with the smallest.
My Top 3 Superyacht Picks from Croatia
Three different yachts, each with a reason to be on your radar.
Ascend underway off the Croatian coast: compact, quick and built for a smaller group.
ASCEND — My pick for a smaller group
Sunseeker 76 · 23.6m / 77ft · 8 guests · 4 cabins
Ascend stood out for how well everything came together. Delivered in 2026, she has a fresh, contemporary interior, with blue-and-white accents that give the spaces a cohesive coastal feel. During my visit, she presented beautifully, and the three-person crew was particularly welcoming.
The cabin arrangement makes her versatile: a master, a VIP, and two cabins that convert between twins and doubles. That flexibility works well for families or couples traveling together.
Outside, the flybridge provides space for dining and relaxing, while the small beach club brings guests closer to the water with fold-out seating. Her toy selection includes a Seabob, electric surfboards, paddleboards, and water skis.
For me, her appeal is the combination of manageable size, comfortable surroundings, and a personable crew—a yacht I’d happily consider for a smaller group.
Renata has a distinctive explorer-style profile, but it’s the way her guest spaces are arranged that makes her especially interesting. The dedicated master deck includes a private terrace and lounge, giving the principal guests a retreat of their own while traveling with family or friends.
Elsewhere, a beach club with a sauna and a sundeck with a jacuzzi, bar, and outdoor dining provide several ways to spend the day aboard. Stabilizers operate both underway and at anchor, adding to her focus on guest comfort.
The crew reinforced that impression during my visit. They were approachable and warm, with a level of professionalism that stood out. Renata would be a strong choice forguests who value privacy and attentive service as much as the yacht’s amenities.
Ohana at anchor off Zlatni Rat, Brač’s famous beach.
OHANA — My pick for bringing everyone together
Custom-built · 49m / 161ft · Up to 30 guests · 14 cabins
Ohana was one of my standout visits, particularly when thinking about multigenerational families and larger celebrations. Accommodating up to 30 guests on one yacht opens up possibilities that most charter yachts simply can’t offer.
Her approximately 160-square-meter sundeck was the highlight for me. With a jacuzzi, bar, barbecue, and several lounging areas, it gives a large group room to gather comfortably throughout the day.
The cinema, children’s playroom, and extensive water toys add options for different ages and interests. The team also described themed parties and tailored experiences they’ve arranged on previous charters—details that make her particularly appealing for a milestone birthday or family reunion.
I left thinking she would be a great option for clients whosefirst priority is having everyone together, with plenty to enjoy aboard.
These three were personal highlights, but they’re only part of what I saw. Croatia also has smaller motor yachts and crewed catamarans that could be a better match for your group, budget, or preferred style of travel.
If you’re considering a Croatia charter, reply with your approximate dates, group size, and what matters most to you. I’d love to help you narrow down the options using what we learned aboard.

The Pakleni Islands, off Hvar — a popular stop during a summer Croatia yacht charter Hi Reader, Matt here. Later this week, the Yacht Warriors team is heading to Split, Croatia for the CRO.Y.A. Charter Yacht Show — four days walking the docks, getting aboard yachts, meeting captains/crews, and getting a fresh feel for the Croatia crewed charter fleet heading into 2027 season. This is one of the parts of the job I really enjoy. A yacht can look fantastic in photos. The layout can check every...
A double rainbow over anchored catamarans in the BVI - the kind moment no itinerary can plan for. Photo: guest Kelly Wilson Hi Reader, Over the years we've built dozens of itineraries across the Caribbean, the Mediterranean, and beyond — each one shaped around a different group, season, and pace. Looking back at the ones that worked best, a few things keep showing up. So this week, instead of sharing one specific itinerary, I want to talk about what actually makes one great — and why the best...
Hi Reader, If you’ve followed Yacht Warriors for a while, you probably already know how much I love Anegada. I’ve written before about how I’d spend the perfect day there. But eventually, you have to leave. And when we do, Jost Van Dyke is typically where we head next. If I were planning your crewed yacht charter, here’s exactly how I’d spend the next 24 hours. Jost Van Dyke, BVI — home to laid-back beach bars, crystal-clear water, and the famous Soggy Dollar Bar. The Sail Back from Anegada...
